About Rinjani-Lombok UNESCO Global Geopark
HISTORY
The proposed Geoaprk is called Rinjani-Lombok Geopark. Formerly in 2007, Bandung Geological Agency organized a meeting with some Indonesian geotourism observers and proposed a Geopark named Mount Rinjani Geopark.
LOCATION
Rinjani-Lombok Geopark area encompasses 5 districts/city which are district Lombok Utara (North Lombok), district Lombok Timur (East Lombok), district Lombok Tengah (Middle Lombok), district Lombok Barat (West Lombok)
MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE
The Government of West Nusa Tenggara Province manages the Rinjani-Lombok Geopark in conjunction with West Lombok Regency, North Lombok Regency, Central Lombok Regency, East Lombok Regency
