Gili National Conservation Area

This national coastal conservation zone possesses high potential of natural resources, from land to marine life. Life forms often met are corals like soft coral (Heliophorasp); (labophyeliasp) and etc, hard corals (Millephorasp); (Anthipathessp); (Monthiporasp) and etc, and various reef fish (Balistapus undulates); (Lethrinusnuburotus); (Platakpinatus); and etc.

Land vegetations are those that are concidered as grown naturally llike Asam Laut (Temarindus indica); Waru Laut (Hibiscus tiliaceus); Ketapang (Terminalia cattapa) and etc.

Wild animals that can be seen easily are various land birds and wild swan. Survey says that there are 54 genus and 148 species of corals inhabiting these three gilis. The corals are dominated by Acropora sp, which is grown 3-14 meters underwater.
